Safari na Mara
Bhí lá iontach ag rang a trí/ceathair an Mháirt seo caite.Tháinig Atalya a oibríonn le Foras na Mara chun labhairt linn faoin bhfarraige. Thaispeáin sí powerpoint dúinn faoi shaol na mara a bhí iontach suimiúil. Chuamar síos chuig an trá ar ‘safari mara’ ina dhiaidh sin agus bhí deis iontach againn an cladach a fhiosrú. Phiocamar neart bruscair chomh maith agus rinneamar ár ndícheall chun cuidiú leis an timpeallacht. Chonaiceamar go leor sliogáin difriúla, cúpla iasc agus portán fiú! Bhí lá den scoth againn.
Rang a trí/ceathair had a fantastic day last Tuesday with a visit from Atalya who works with the Explorers Education Programme. She showed us a presentation about sea life which we found really interesting. Afterwards we took a trip down to the shore and had a wonderful opportunity to do some exploring of our own. While we were there we did our little bit to help the environment by picking up any rubbish we could see. We found lots of different shells, a few fish and even a crab. We really enjoyed the day.
