Cad é an rud é An Foras Pátrúnachta?
Is é An Foras Pátrúnachta an pátrún is mó in Éirinn ar scoileanna lán-Ghaeilge ag an chéad agus an dara leibhéal. Tá breis agus 80 scoil faoinár bpátrúnacht. Tá An Foras Pátrúnachta ina phátrún ar scoileanna lán-Ghaeilge a bhfuil éiteas Caitliceach, Ilchreidmheach, agus Idirchreidmheach (Caitliceach / Protastúnach) acu. Is eagraíocht bainistíochta aitheanta é An Foras Pátrúnachta freisin. Is mian linn líon na scoileanna lán-Ghaeilge a fhás ionas go mbeidh gach tuismitheoir a roghnódh oideachas lán-Ghaeilge in ann teacht ar an rogha sin dá bpáistí.
Bunaíodh An Foras Pátrúnachta sa bhliain 1993 ionas go mbeadh rogha eile ag scoileanna maidir le pátrúnacht. An fhís atá ag An Foras Pátrúnachta ná oideachas lán-Ghaeilge den scoth a chothú, a fhorbairt agus a leathnú sa tír.
Tá An Foras Pátrúnachta aitheanta ag An Roinn Oideachais agus Scileanna mar chóras pátrúnachta atá inghlactha agus cuí do scoileanna ag an gcéad agus an dara leibhéal.

What is An Foras Pátrúnachta?
An Foras Pátrúnachta is the largest patron of Irish-medium schools in Ireland at both primary and secondary level. There are over 80 schools under our patronage. An Foras Pátrúnachta is a patron of Irish-medium schools that have a choice of a Catholic, Multi-denominational and Interdenominational (Catholic / Protestant) ethos. We are also a recognised management body in education. We aim to grow the number of Irish-medium schools so that any parent who would choose Irish-medium education can access it.
An Foras Pátrúnachta was founded in 1993 so that new Gaelscoileanna opening in the coming years would have another choice with regard to patronage. The vision of An Foras Pátrúnachta is to develop, strengthen and promote education through the medium of Irish throughout the country.
An Foras Pátrúnachta is recognized by the Department of Education and Science as a patronage system which is acceptable and appropriate for first and second level schools.
